Origin: Formed within English, by compounding. Etymons: finger n., point v.1
Etymology: < finger n. + point v.1, probably partly after to point the finger at point v.1 10c (although this is first attested later than sense 1).
1. transitive. To point a finger at (a person) in order to mock, accuse, or otherwise draw attention to him or her; (hence) to accuse, to blame.
