Etymology: Latin, < Greek δυσαισθησία (Galen) insensibility, < δυσαίσθητος insensible, < δυσ- (dys- prefix) + αἰσθε- to feel: compare aesthesis n., anaesthesia n.
Pathology.
Difficulty or derangement of sensation, or of any bodily senses; also applied to a class of diseases of which this is a symptom.
