deleint.

Forms: early Middle English deale (west midlands), Middle English dele (chiefly west midlands).
Origin: Of uncertain origin. Perhaps a borrowing from French, combined with an English element. Etymons: French dea , lo int.1
Etymology: Origin uncertain. Perhaps < Anglo-Norman dea well, indeed (although this is apparently first attested later: first half of the 14th cent.; see below) + a reduced variant of lo int.1Compare Anglo-Norman dele (late 13th cent. in the French translation of Ancrene Riwle), perhaps < English, or perhaps alternatively a variant of diable! diable int. The further etymology of Anglo-Norman dea , Anglo-Norman and Middle French dia is uncertain. It has been suggested that it may reflect a phonetically reduced compound < dis , 2nd person singular imperative of dire to say (see disour n.) + va , 2nd person singular imperative of aller to go (see allons int.).
Obsolete.
Of uncertain meaning. It seems to be used for the purpose of calling attention, and may be an interjection, or a verb in the imperative, with the force of ‘See!’ ‘mark!’ or ‘note!’
