Etymology: < post-classical Latin cinefacere (1573 or earlier; compare classical Latin cinefactus reduced to ashes (Lucretius)) < classical Latin ciner- , cinis ashes (see cinefaction n.) + -facere (see -fy suffix). Compare earlier cinefaction n.
Obsolete. rare.
