[Afrikaans, f. Hottentot dachab.]
A name for hemp, Cannabis sativa, used as a narcotic. Also applied to any indigenous plant of the genus Leonotis, called wild dagga, which is similarly used. Also attrib. and Comb.

A kind of mortar made of mud and cow-dung, often mixed with ox-blood. Hence as v., to smear with dagga.
