cynodont, n. and a.|ˈsaɪnəʊdɒnt| [f. cyno- + Gr. ὀδούς, ὀδοντ- tooth. Cf. earlier dicynodont n. and a.] A. n. An extinct mammal-like reptile of Triassic times with well-developed teeth specialized for chewing. B. adj. Of, pertaining to, or designating this reptile.
