crema, n. Brit. |ˈkreɪmə|, |ˈkrɛmə|, U.S. |ˈkreɪmə|, |ˈkrɛmə| [‹ Italian crema cream (see cream n.2).] The caramel-coloured layer of froth or foam which forms on the surface of a freshly brewed serving of espresso coffee.
