sylvic, silvic, a. Chem.|ˈsɪlvɪk| [ad. F. sylvique (a 1836), f. L. sylva, silva a wood: see -ic 1 b.] sylvic acid: a colourless crystalline substance, isomeric with pinic acid, and, like it, forming a constituent of colophony or turpentine-resin.
