‖ shakudo|ˈʃakudo| [a. Japanese shakŭ dō, ad. an older form of Chinese ch‘ih t‘ung red copper.] A Japanese alloy of copper and gold. Also attrib. It is often subjected to a chemical process, which produces a blue patina.
