pyromeˈconic, a. Chem. [f. pyro- 3 + meconic.] In pyromeconic acid, a crystalline bitter acid, C5H4O3, occurring in large transparent tables; it is obtained by the dry distillation of meconic or of comenic acid. Hence pyroˈmeconate, a salt of this acid.
