A double carbonate of lime and baryta: the same as alstonite.
1868Dana Min. 698 Most English mineralogical authors have set aside Thomson's name [Bromlite] although the earliest and of British origin, for Breithaupt's [Alstonite]. There appears to be no sufficient reason for this. |
