sarcocarp Bot.|ˈsɑːkəʊkɑːp| [ad. F. sarcocarpe (Richard), f. Gr. σαρκο-, σάρξ flesh + καρπός fruit.] The fleshy part of a drupaceous fruit lying between the epicarp and the endocarp, being the part usually eaten.
