Sangoan, a. Archæol.|sæŋˈgəʊən| [f. the place-name Sango Bay in Uganda + -an.] Of, pertaining to, or designating a palæolithic culture in central Africa, roughly contemporary with the Mousterian culture in Europe, and the people and tools associated with it. Also absol., this culture.
