rickardite Min.|ˈrɪkɑːdaɪt| [f. the name of Thomas A. Rickard (1864–1953), U.S. mining engineer + -ite1.] A tetragonal telluride of copper found as brittle, metallic, purplish-red masses in a number of copper mines in Colorado and elsewhere.
