‖ Rigsdag|ˈrigzdag| [Da., f. gen. of rige realm + dag day; cf. Reichstag, Riksdag.] The name of the Parliament of Denmark, formerly comprising two Houses, the Landsting and the Folketing. In 1953 the upper chamber and the name Rigsdag were abolished. The remaining single chamber is called the Folketing.
