[In sense 1, a. OF. aturne-r, -orner, -ourner, f. à to + turner:—L. tornāre to round off, f. tornus, Gr. τόρνος lathe; cf. atour n. and attorn.]
1. trans. To attire, array, dress, prepare fitly.

2. To turn. (a- is perh. for y- = Ȝe: see a particle.)
