Athoan, a.|æˈθəʊən| [f. Gr. ἄθωος of Athos + -an.] Of or pertaining to Athos, the most easterly of the three peninsulas of Chalcidice in Macedonia, or to the ‘Holy Mountain’ at the eastern end of this peninsula, or to the monasteries of Athos (cf. Athonite).
