1685Boyle Enq. Notion Nat. vi. 189 Water does gravitate in Water, as well as out of it, though indeed it does not prægravitate, because 'tis Counter-ballanc'd by an equal weight of Collateral Water, which keeps it from descending. 1722Quincy Lex.
