plastidule Biol.|ˈplæstɪdjuːl| [a. Ger. plastidul (Haeckel), dim. of plastid: see -ule.] A hypothetical molecule or ultimate particle of protoplasm, constituting a vital unit, and forming an element or constituent of a plastid or cell.
