单词 phosphatidic
释义 phosphatidic, a. Biochem.|fɒsfəˈtaɪdɪk, -ˈtɪdɪk|
[f. prec. + -ic.]
phosphatidic acid: any of the esterified derivatives of glycerol phosphate in which the hydrogen atoms in both hydroxyl groups are replaced by fatty acid radicals.
1927Channon & Chibnall in Biochem. Jrnl. XXI. 1115 It seems to us preferable to keep to Thudichum's original definitions [of phosphatide and cerebroside]. If this is done the diglyceridephosphoric acid and its salts are phosphatides. Since the acid is chemically the parent acid of the two more commonly occurring phosphatides lecithin and kephalin, we propose to call it phosphatidic acid.1954A. White et al. Princ. Biochem. v. 88 The phosphatides of known structure which contain one atom of N per atom of P may be regarded as derivatives of phosphatidic acid.1964W. G. Smith Allergy & Tissue Metabolism viii. 87 Once these fatty acids are converted to fatty acyl CoA they could be incorporated immediately into diglyceride formed from 1-glycerophosphate via phosphatidic acid.1967[see phosphoglyceride s.v. phospho-].1979Sci. Amer. Jan. 49/1 Two molecules of a fatty acid..are transferred from a donor to a molecule of glycerol phosphate, forming the most primitive phospholipid, phosphatidic acid.
Hence phosphatidyl |fɒsfəˈtaɪdaɪl, -ɪl, fɒsˈfætɪdaɪl, -ɪl|, the univalent radical of phosphatidic acid formed by the loss of a hydrogen atom from the phosphate group; usu. attrib. or in Comb. in the names of esters (phospholipids), as phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl ethanolamine, phosphatidyl serine.
1941J. Folch in Jrnl. Biol. Chem. CXXXIX. 973 In a recent paper it was shown that cephalin prepared in the usual manner..did not contain..all of its nitrogen in the form of ethanolamine, but that from 40 to 70 per cent was in the form of a β-hydroxyamino acid... The cephalin fraction containing the amino acid has now been isolated, and the amino acid crystallized as..l(+)-serine. We shall call this phosphatide ‘phosphatidyl serine’.1942― in Ibid. CXLVI. 35 Cephalin prepared from brain by the classical methods has..been separated into three fractions: (a) phosphatidyl ethanolamine so called because it has its nitrogen as ethanolamine and its P as glycerophosphoric acid, [etc.].1954A. White et al. Princ. Biochem. v. 88 Phosphatidyl choline, or lecithin, has the following formula.1964Oceanogr. & Marine Biol. II. 173 Among the phospholipids of vertebrates is a class known as plasmalogens. These are closely related to the classical lecithin (phosphatidyl choline) and cephalin (phosphatidyl ethanolamine).1967Information Bull. Internat. Union Pure & Appl. Chem. XXX. 23 The term ‘lecithin’ is permitted but not recommended to designate a 1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylcholine. The recommended generic term for such compounds is 3-sn-phosphatidylcholine.1971M. F. Mallette et al. Introd. Biochem. ix. 324 Phosphatidylserine..is another phospholipid isolated from plant and animal sources.
