Peronism|ˈpɛrɒnɪz(ə)m| [ad. Sp. Peronismo (also used), or f. the name Perón (see below) + ism.] The political ideology of Juan Domingo Perón (1895–1974), president of Argentina from 1946 to 1955 and from 1973 to 1974, advocating nationalism and the organization of labour in the interests of social progress; the political movement supporting Perón or his policies.
