ommin Biochem.|ˈɒmɪn| Also -ine. [a. G. ommin (E. Becker 1939, in Biol. Zentralbl. LIX. 611), f. Gr. ὄµµ-α eye: see -in1.] Any of the group of ommochromes characterized by stronger colours, greater stability to alkalis, and higher molecular weights as compared with the ommatins.
