nido, a. Chem.|ˈnaɪdəʊ| Usu. italicized. [f. L. nīd-us nest + -o.] Designating (the structure of) a boron compound in whose molecules boron atoms occupy all vertices but one of a notional triangulated polyhedron. Also (with hyphen) as a word-forming element.
