‖ monochasium Bot.|mɒnəʊˈkeɪzɪəm| Pl. -ia. Also anglicized moˈnochasy. [mod.L., f. µόνο-ς mono- + χάσι-ς chasm, separation. Cf. dichasium.] Eichler's name for that form of cymose inflorescence in which the main axis produces only a single branch; a uniparous cyme.
