‖ mitchella Bot.|mɪˈtʃɛlə| [Mod.Lat.; named by Linnæus in 1753 after the botanist John Mitchell (died 1768).] A genus of trailing evergreen herbs of the family Rubiaceæ; a plant of this genus, e.g. M. repens, the partridge-berry.
