micræsthete Biol.|maɪˈkrɛsθiːt| [f. Gr. µῑκρό-ς small + αἰσθητής ‘one who perceives’ (here used for ‘organ of sense’).] One of the numerous supposed tactile organs occupying the small pores (micropores) in the dorsal plates of certain chitons.
