membranaceous, a.|mɛmbrəˈneɪʃəs| [f. late L. membrānāceus, f. membrāna membrane: see -aceous.] 1. Nat. Hist. Resembling or of the nature of a membrane; membranous. In Bot. (see quot. 1832).
