loadberry Shetland dial.|ˈləʊdbərɪ| Also lodberry. [Cogn. w. Norw. dial. ladberg, ON. hlaðberg a lading-rock, a natural quay or pier.] A flat rock forming a natural landing-place; spec. a small enclosed landing-place for the unloading of boats.
