Linguet, n. Pharm. and Med.|ˈlɪŋgwɛt| Also linguet. [f. L. lingu-a tongue + -et1.] A tablet intended to be retained in the mouth (esp. under the tongue) for its active ingredients to be absorbed through the oral tissues. A proprietary name in the U.S.
