Worcesterberry|ˈwʊstəbɛrɪ| Also worcester-. [f. prec. + berry n.1] A small black gooseberry of the North American species Ribes divaricatum, once believed to be a hybrid of the blackcurrant and the gooseberry and sold as such by a Worcester nurseryman.
