æsthesodic, a. Phys.|ɛsθɪˈsɒdɪk| [mod. f. Gr. αἴσθησ-ις sensory perception + ὁδ-ός way, path + -ic. In mod.Fr. esthésodique.] Of nerves: Providing a path for sensory impulses; conveying sensations from the external organs to the brain or nerve centres.
1878M. Foster Physiol. iii. v. §3. 488 They speak of it accordingly as kinesodic and æsthesodic, as simply affording paths for motor and sensory impulses. |
