(Ruiz & Pavon Flora Peruviana (1802) III. 64), f. the name of Joséphine Tascher de la Pagerie (1763–1814), Empress of France + -ia1.] A climbing shrub of the monotypic genus so named, belonging to the family Liliaceæ, native to Chile, and bearing large, bell-shaped, pendulous, red or white flowers.
