anastomose, v.|əˈnæstəməʊz| [a. Fr. anastomose-r, f. anastomose, f. mod.L. anastomōsis, f. Gr. ἀναστόµωσ-ις: see anastomosis.] a. trans. To connect by anastomosis (? obs.). b. intr. To communicate by anastomosis, to intercommunicate, inosculate. Said of blood-vessels, sap-vessels, rivers, and branches of trees.
