ˈrhombo- comb. form of Gr. ῥόµβος rhombus, used to denote (1) ‘rhombic’, as in rhombo-dodecahedron; (2) ‘forming a rhombus’ (and another figure), as in rhombo-quadratic, rhombo-rectangular.
