Vierkleur|ˈfɪərklœr| [a. Afrikaans, f. Du. vier four + kleur colour.] The flag of the nineteenth-century Transvaal Republic (1857–77 and 1881–1900), distinguished by three horizontal stripes of red, white, and blue, and one vertical green stripe on the left-hand side. Also attrib.
