valleriite Min.|vəˈlɪərɪaɪt| [ad. Sw. valleriit (C. W. Blomstrand 1870, in Öfversigt af K. Vetensk.-Akad. Förhandlingar XXVII. 19), f. the name of J. G. Vallerius (1683–1742), Swedish mineralogist: see -ite1.] A hexagonal basic sulphide of iron, copper, magnesium, and aluminium found in high-temperature copper and iron deposits as minute cream or yellowish crystals.
