▪ I. homotype, n.|ˈhɒməʊtaɪp| [f. Gr. ὁµο- homo- + τύπος type.] 1. Biol. A part or organ having the same type of structure as another, a homologue; applied esp. to serially or laterally homologous parts in the same organism.
