hippocentaur|hɪpəʊˈsɛntɔː(r)| [ad. L. hippocentaurus, a. Gr. ἱπποκένταυρος (f. ἵππο-ς horse + κένταυρος centaur), horse-centaur, opp. to ἰχθυοκένταυρος fish-centaur.] A fabulous creature combining the forms of a man and a horse; a centaur.
