hideling, a. and n. dial.|ˈhaɪdlɪŋ| Alsohidling. [In A. app. a derived use of hidlings, the ending being confused with that of ppl. adjs. and vbl. ns. in -ing. In B. the suffix is identified with that in changeling: see -ling.] A. adj. Given to hiding or concealment.
