ˌsuperocˈcipital, a. and n. Anat. and Zool. [super- 1 b.] A. adj. Situated at the upper part of the occiput or back of the head. B. n. The superoccipital bone, an element of the skull usually forming part of the occipital bone, but in some lower vertebrates constituting a distinct bone.
