Hansen Med.|ˈhænsən| The name of G. H. A. Hansen (1841–1912), Norwegian physician, used attrib. and in the possessive to designate Mycobacterium leprae, the causative agent of leprosy, which he discovered, and occas. leprosy itself, as Hansen('s) bacillus, Hansen's disease.
