Tunisian, n. and a.|tjuːˈnɪzɪən| [f. Tunis + -ian, or Tunisia + -an (see below): cf. the earlier Tunisine n. and a.] A. n. a. A native or inhabitant of the country of Tunisia in North Africa (or of its capital Tunis), or of the former Barbary state of Tunis which preceded it. b. The demotic speech of the Tunisians. B. adj. Of, pertaining to, or belonging to Tunisia, or Tunis.
