1966W. G. Struve et al. in Biochem. V. 83/1 Since this enzyme is involved in the transfer of phospho-NAc-muramyl-pentapeptide from the UMP moiety to the membrane acceptor, we propose the name phospho-NAc-muramyl-pentapeptide translocase (UMP). 1973I. H. Herskowitz Princ. Genetics vi. 72 Initiation factor f2 also functions as a translocase that catalyzes the translocation of the initiating charged tRNA from the A to the P site. 1986M. Kogut tr. Schlegel's Gen. Microbiol. vii. 258 Transport [of nutrients] is dependent, with few exceptions, on specific permeases and translocases. |
