‖ fines herbes, n. pl.|finz ɛrb| [Fr., lit. ‘fine herbs’.] A mixture of herbs used in cooking. Freq. in adj. phr. with aux, as omelette aux fines herbes, a savoury omelette flavoured with herbs.
