tetrapolitan, a.|tɛtrəˈpɒlɪtən| [ad. mod.L. tetrapolitān-us of four cities, f. prec., after metropolitan.] Of or pertaining to four cities. Tetrapolitan Confession, a confession of faith drawn up by the four cities Strasburg, Memmingen, Constance, and Lindau, presented to the diet of Augsburg (1530).
