euroclydon|jʊəˈrɒklɪdən| [a. Gr. εὐροκλύδων (if genuine, only in Acts xxvii. 14, where the better attested reading is εὐρακύλων: see euraquilo), f. εὖρος east wind + κλύδων wave, billow.] A stormy wind mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles: see euraquilo. Hence occas. with allusion to this, a ‘tempestuous wind’ in general. Also fig.
