sperm-aster Biol.|ˈspɜːmæstə(r)| Also spermaster, sperm aster. [f. sperm n. + aster 4.] A star-shaped configuration which in some species forms ahead of the sperm nucleus as it enters the egg in fertilization, and which develops into the amphiaster.
