EPROM Computing.|ˈiːprɒm| Also eprom. [Acronym f. erasable programmable ROM: see ROM s.v. R II. 2 a.] A read-only memory whose contents can be erased by a special process (e.g. irradiation with ultraviolet light) and replaced.
