‖ taccada|təˈkɑːdə| [Sinhalese takkada.] The Malayan rice-paper plant, Scævola Lobelia (or Königii), an erect shrub found on the sea-shores of tropical Asia, Australia, and Polynesia; its young stems have a pith resembling that of the rice-paper plant (Aralia papyrifera), and are used by the Malays for making artificial flowers, etc.
