strepsipterous, a. Ent.|strɛpˈsɪptərəs| [f. mod.L. Strepsiptera neut. pl. (f. Gr. στρεψι-, comb. form of στρέϕειν to twist + πτερόν wing) + -ous.] Belonging to the order Strepsiptera of insects (named by Kirby from the twisted front wings).
